Malick Sidibé

Mali is not lacking in amazing photographers. When I was in Bamako in December I visited the National Museum where there was a photo exhibit featuring Seydou Keita and Malick Sidibé. I've written about Keita before but am equally enamored with Sidibé's portraits. He wonderfully captures young Malians optimism and excitement post colonialiasm. So chic! (images from here)
