Marni's Colombian Chairs

Marni does furniture! The Italian fashion house known for their prints has created a line of simple (but awesome) metal and colorful, plastic chairs. The chairs are being produced by a group of former Colombian inmates (social venture...check!) and debuting at Milan Design Week, which is happening now. Awesome project! (images from here)

Hang Out

I will never need a hanging bed but sure do want one. How fun would this be? (via remodelista)

Sofa envy

Finding a good sofa/couch is, to me, one of the hardest things in life. They're either way too bulky or way too expensive. All of these, from latest Lonny, I'm sure are the later but they sure are pretty to look at!

I love the contrast between the raw wood and sleek furniture in this Molteni catalog (furniture by the wonderful Patricia Urquiola). Styling by Studio Toogood. (via here)

Pane e Acqua

I love the whimsical design of Pane e Acqua restaurant in Milan. The owner has a fantastically curated shop down the street called Spazio Rosanna Orlandi where she sourced all of the furnishings for her restaurant. The giant leaves are incredible! (photos from here and here)

Claire-Anne O'Brien

In the spirit of all things cozy (although it's still 85 degrees in S.C.), I'd like to get my hands on one of these knitted stools by British textile designer Claire-Anne O'Brien.

Medieval Times

Beautiful combination; warm boiled leather and graphic Josef Frank fabric. Designer Tortie Hoare uses a boiled leather technique which makes the leather rigid. The same technique was used during the medieval times to create armor. Cool...and that chair is perfection!

Po! Paris

Love, love, love the eclectic mix of furniture, textiles, lighting, and rugs from Po! Paris. The line is designed in Paris and mostly made in Albania by craft artisans. They mostly use recycled materials and the furniture and lighting is made by gypsies using scrap metal. So inspired!

W Vieques

Wow. Dreams really do come true...an entire hotel designed by my favorite Patricia Urquiola. Can't wait to visit the new W Hotel on Vieques Island in Puerto Rico and be surrounded by all of that amazing furniture! (via Henry Road, photos from Contemporist)
