Granny Soccer

I love this story from the Times today... Vakhegula (meaning Granny Granny) is a women's soccer team from South Africa ranging in age from 49 to 84. The founder, Beka Ntsanwisi created the team after being diagnosed with cancer and seeing the maltreatment of older women patients in the hospital. It started out as exercise but has turned into a source of inspiration and support for the women. They are currently raising money to play in the Veterans Cup in Massachussets in July.
