Shipibo-Conibo Textiles

I recently came across some amazing textiles from the Shipibo people that live in the Amazon basin.  The complex maze-like patterns are all embroidered by hand and represent songs and chants.  Similar patterns appear on pottery and face paint of these indigenous Peruvian communities.   I love the bright, bold use of color!
