Scribe

I've had a dream of owning an avocado farm with a Spanish style farm house for a long time and in my dreams in looks a lot like Scribe Winery. The long palm tree lined driveway leading up to an old, but ridiculously charming hacienda, with delicious wine and food. Heaven. (images from here and here)

Rock House

I'm incredibly inspired by this home built in the Uruguayan countryside. The juxtaposition of materials; especially the industrial windows and stone walls makes a perfect combination. A girl can dream... (images from here)

Fuzzco//Dwell

My friends Helen and Josh's amazing house/workspace is in the latest Dwell. They're ridiculously cute and their home is so simple but incredibly inspired. And, who has a giant, beautiful orange tree in South Carolina?!
Te amo tu casa. Congrats guys!

Auldbrass

Did you know that Frank Lloyd Wright built a plantation in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Yeah, me neither. It's privately owned by Hollywood producer, Joel Silver and absolutely stunning. This November the mid-century compound will be open to the public. I can't wait! (images from here and here)

Spanish Revival

I can appreciate a lot of architectural styles but Spanish Colonial Revival tops the list. I can see this home (renovated by Diane Keaton) full of amazing textiles from all over the world with dashes of modern lighting and furniture to make it pop. Oh, and a giant dog. That'll do nicely! Luis Barragan

I came across a book in Guatemala about Luis Barragan and am so incredibly inspired by his work. I can't think of any style of architecture that I would prefer than his wonderful Mexican Modernist style. He was influenced by architecture in Northern Africa, the Mediterranean, and lectures by Le Corbusier that he attended while living in Paris. This pretty much seals the deal that a trip to Mexico City is in my near future!

This is my dream living room. Beautiful texture and pops of color and that fireplace is to die for. (from here)
